In September, 2009, Tauranga opened its new 700sqm retail shop in Bay Central, 65 Chapel St (twice the size of the original shop at Cross Road). The new location is at the NZ Post and Rebel Sports end, adjacent to the Harbour Bridge Motorway.

They have had a big team of experienced builders from as far away as Nelson working tirelessly over the past months fitting out the new store. Team leader, Master Builder Murray Nichols travelled to the USA to get shop fit-out ideas with Russell Summers. Murray and Russell have come up with a stunning natural wood theme that brings the outdoors indoors! More room has been provided for outdoor clothing too, while the selection of hunting and fishing equipment features many exclusive items and of course will still be the best in town.

The new store provides the space to diversify into various product ranges with a real emphasis going on camping, particularly family camping. In fact the store features a 150sqm mezzanine floor devoted to camping and tramping needs.

The new store is open 7 days and there is plenty of free parking!

With over 30 years experience in the hunting and fishing retail industry, plus over 36 years personal experience, Jim has plenty of knowledge he is willing to share. Specialist field - GPS's.
