Stoeger M2000....from $799.99

We have New Zealand's best buy in a sub $1000 semi-auto shotgun! And we're excited about it. For hunters on a budget the Stoeger inertia operated semi-auto system is simply far more reliable than a cheap gas operated semi-auto. With the Stoeger design inspired by its Italian made Benelli big brother, the Stoeger is not only more reliable in the mud, the crud, the silt or the salt, is easy to maintain and now incredibly affordable – when purchased from Hunting & Fishing New Zealand! To bring you totally up to speed, we asked our Christchurch shop owner and keen waterfowler Cameron Moore to provide details…
The Stoeger M2000 semi auto shotgun is a quality firearm at a budget price. Unlike most entry level semi auto shotguns, the Stoeger uses an inertia driven system to cycle the rounds not a gas operated system. Furthermore, the Stoeger brand is owned by the great Italian shotgun company Benelli, so it's no surprise that the Stoeger has several design similarities to the legendary Benelli.
The obvious benefit of the ‘Benelli style' inertia system for the everyday kiwi hunter is that it is a lot simpler and cleaner, and therefore more reliable than a similar priced gas operated system. Like the Benelli, the Stoeger has only 3 moving parts in the bolt and they are all contained in the receiver, this eliminates pistons, O rings and valves in the fore-end making the Stoeger design slimmer and better balanced than its competition.
The inertia system has superior reliability and will comfortably cycle 1 1/8oz target loads through to 3" waterfowl loads without the hunter having to make any adjustments, plus with no propellant gas venting into the operating system the Stoeger stays cleaner.
For the 2011 duck shooting season at Hunting & Fishing New Zealand we've used our 31 store buying power to negotiate massive savings on Stoeger shotguns. Our goal was to make a reliable semi auto as affordable as possible because as duckaholic's ourselves, we absolutely hate it when a hunter comes in on the Monday after ‘opening' telling us "that heap of junk semi auto" we sold them turned into a single shot at 7-00 am on opening day!!!
So check out this year's pricing! As an example of the savings, last season the best selling black synthetic Stoeger went for $999, this season our stores have slashed it back to just $799.99! And remember, our guns are not "grey" (parallel) imports, they are the genuine REAL DEAL – in other words guns imported into NZ by the registered distributor and backed up with the full manufacturers warranty. We supply each of our Stoeger's with 5 choke tubes and a red ‘light-pipe' foresight that virtually glows helping you to quickly get a bead on that fast flying duck, even in low light conditions.
Stoeger have expanded the range for 2011, to include a slick new version featuring a graphite finish on the stock and barrel. Perfect for the hunter who enjoys a gun with classy looks!
