Franchise owner Grayson Reynolds, has grown up a keen fisherman, whitebaiter, duck shooter and comes from a long line of family hunters. Needing fish bait at 5am in the morning prompted him to open the Hunting & Fishing NZ store, three years ago at Kopu.

"Many families farm or choose to live in and around the Coromandel Peninsula area because of the outdoors lifestyle, plus the region attracts thousands of holidaymakers all wanting to enjoy the many outdoor activities the region offers.

Hunting & Fishing NZ stores stock everything the hunting, fishing, shooting and camping enthusiast want and need. "If we don't have it, we will try and get it for you”. "Over three years we have provided an enormous amount of sponsorship to many schools, local fishing and hunting competitions and community events” says Grayson.

Pre season duck shooting and hunting evenings provide a social opportunity to share information, stories and purchase new and latest equipment. Whitebaiter's pre season is now upon us …. 15^th of August is the day! See in store for whitebaiting specials.

An amazing number of overseas tourists call in for information and advice on where the best holiday spots are to visit, where the best fishing spots are, what fishing equipment and techniques to use and where to find good accommodation. Many local businesses leave their business cards and pamphlets here.
