Update from Thames Hunting & Fishing NZ

By Grayson Reynolds - Thames H&F NZ | 17 January 2012
Hi from Hunting & Fishing Thames Kopu, the gateway to the sunny Coromandel!

From what I hear The Eastern side of the peninsula is catching shipping containers from that new reef the Rena.........  The boys over there are starting to get itchy to drag some plastic around. Try the new Bonze range of lures. I've heard of a nice Black being caught - awesome!

In the puddle on the Western side the firth snapper are still jumping on to the hook. Best baits to use are any that will stay on.

North Coromandel is getting jiggy with it - packs of Kingfish in good numbers. The new Hunting & Fishing New Zealand jigs are showing some promise - 65 tagged in 2 weeks. Poppers are a go as well.

If shellfish is your thing then Coromandel mussels are nice and fat, try a few of them in your new Bradley Smoker. Can't beat it - they will come for miles to sample them!

On the hunting side of things, rabbits are in plague proportions - good if you can see them in the long grass! There are still a few pigs being hammered around the edges, local boys know where to catch up with them on hot days (not at the pub either!).

Lately I have been seeing a bit of the new Hunting & Fishing New Zealand clothing range around too. The young ones seem to like the new tees, hoodies etc. Come in store to check out these new threads.

We have now got a Facebook page up and running as well, click here to view our page and keep up to date with our latest news.

So call in, say hello, have a chat and we will point you in the right direction!
Nothing like living here.

Cheers,
Grayson
