The family of Leo Lipp-Neighbours, aged 19 years, is seeking the help of the public to locate their son Leo who has been missing since the early hours on Sunday 24th January 2010.

Leo was last seen at about 4.00am on Sunday morning, he left his flat alone and has driven away in his Toyota Corolla station wagon, registration NQ7258. Leo or his car have not been seen since.

Leo has failed to make contact with his family which is totally out of character, he has not attempted to access his bank accounts and he has not used his cell phone since he was last seen by his flat mates.

He has been known to enjoy driving to remote spots in his car and then taking short walks to take in local views.

Leo's family are extremely worried that he may have lost control while traveling on a remote road and is in need of help.

The family have engaged local helicopter operators at their own cost to search for Leo, friends and family have driven most of the known roads he would use, todate there has been no sign of Leo or his car.

Nelson Police and Leo's family ask that anyone who maybe travelling over the weekend on rural roads is extraordinarily vigilant with regard to reporting or investigating any tyre marks or other indication that a car may have left the road in an uncontrolled manner.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Langridge of the Nelson Police said “time is of importance and any assistance to locate Leo would be greatly appreciated by the Police and family"
