ITM Fishing Show Screening

ITM Fishing Show Screening
20 August 2010, Updated 20th August 2010

This week we continue on with our Wairarapa adventure - and with only minimum amounts of food carried into our remote hideaway our goal is to ‘live off the land'. Great fishing action is topped off with an early morning wild boar hunt into the rugged hills of the Wairarapa Coast.

And with the weather looking fairly average this weekend, the best fishing spot is looking like your favourite chair at 5.30pm on Saturday, tuned into TV3.

If winter is getting you down, and you're not getting out there and doing it, then have we got a treat to soothe that fishing itch that needs scratching. We're pleased to announce that all the best moments from our award winning 2009 series of The ITM Fishing Show are now available on a DOUBLE DVD set!

‘The Best of Series Six' offers you guys the chance to watch again and again, the action from above and below the water than left you gasping, the bits you missed while laughing, and the valuable tips and technique that are throughout this Double DVD set.

But wait…. there's more!!

Matt will sign any Best of Series Six DVD purchased from our online shop http://www.thefishingshow.co.nz/shop in August!
And with Fathers Day just around the corner, what better gift is there??

What's the Hap's East Coast?
With the all rubbish weather that has been around this week there has been very few reports coming out of anywhere. The exception has been the Coromandel down to the BOP where the Kingfish action has been described as ‘white hot'. Stick baits and surface poppers have been accounting for most, and fish around 25kg have been landed. Gisborne calls high water at 3.13pm on Saturday and the waning moon see's dropping tides. Moonrise at 2.35pm could see a bite just before high water if you get the chance.

What's the Hap's West Coast?
Kawhia calls high tide at 6.47pm and the same waning moon sees tides dropping. If the theory sticks then a couple of hours after low could be your best chance but again the wind rain and swell that threatens this weekend looks like it'll put pay to most plans.

We're pleased to announce that the lucky winner of our Viewers Choice nomination is Laurel, who will be joining us for a night of fun and festivity for our inaugural ITM Fishing Media Awards. Watch out for this special episode in a couple of month's time!

If you can't wait till tomorrow for some ITM Fishing Show mayhem, then head over to our video gallery, and catch our latest clip ‘ Bullfight'! Whilst down in the Wairarapa, the boys found themselves a bit too close to a full blown scrap between a 2 tonnes of hot blooded bulls, and only narrowly escaped with limbs intact...

Till next week,

The ITM Fishing Show crew
