Nine Orson tents have been hidden in Hunting & Fishing stores nationwide… will one be waiting in your local store?
Before you head off on the hunt, enter your details below to be in the draw to win a $3000 Base Camp. If you’ve scanned the poster in‑store, you’re in exactly the right place — you’re one step closer already.
Once you're signed up, don’t forget to keep watching for clues in Hunting & Fishing emails and social posts. Each clue will help you work out which store is hiding a tent, and the final hint will be waiting for you at the end of the trail markers in store.
Then it’s over to you: get in-store, follow the trail, and search for the tent marked with the official Orson Tent Hunt logo.

The Great Orson Tent Hunt
1. Competition OverviewPromoter: Hunting & Fishing New Zealand & Orson (the "Promoter").
Prizes: Prizes consist of Orson Adventure Tents and accessoriesTotal Prize Pool: The total recommended retail price (RRP) value of all prizes available to be won is $7,800.00 NZD.
Competition Period: The competition will run from the 3rd of February 2026 to 21st March 2026 (the "Competition Period").2. Eligibility and Entry
Eligibility: Entry is open to all New Zealand residents who engage with this promotion during the Competition Period. Participating retailers will have competition collateral displayed in-stores.
How Hunt for Tent in stores:
Step 1 Follow the Clues released on Hunting & Fishing’s emails and social posts
Step 2 Workout the clues to find which store it’s hidden in
Step 3 The final clue will be at the end of the Trail makers in store
Step 4 Try your luck searching in your local store (you’re looking for a tent with the
unique Orson tent hunt to logo on the outside)Step 5 If you find a Tent take it to the nearest staff member to claim it
Step 6 If you don’t find a tent you can still scan the poster at the end of the trail markers to go in the draw to Win a $3000 base camp
How To Enter for the base Camp
- Scan the QR code on the poster in store
- Enter your details on the landing page and go in the draw to Win!
- This will be randomly drawn and the winner announced 25th March 2026
Entry Limit: A strict limit of one (1) entry per customer applies.
Null and Void Entries: Any additional entry submitted will be considered null and void. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries not complying with these rules or for any other reason at the promoters discretion.
3. Winner Selection and PrizesWinner Selection: Winners of the hidden tents will be the first customer to locat it and deliver it to a staff member. Winner of the $3000 base camp prize will be drawn under supervision using a random generator from all entries excluding duplicates.
Prize Collection: Winners of the tents will take home that exact tent they have found. The base Camp will be notified of the process to claim their prize via email. This prize must be collected or redeemed within a maximum of 3 months from the date of the win notification, or the prize will be forfeited.4. System Integrity and Fraud Protection
Protection Against Manipulation: The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process, application, or the
Retailer Protection Clause: The Promoter and participating Retailers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered or sustained as a result of an entry into or participation in this competition, including any damage to or theft of prizes once redeemed or shipped.
Limitation of Liability: The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries, and expressly disclaims any liability arising from technical, computer, or network errors, including those associated with the Hunting & Fishing NZ website application.

Data Usage and PrivacyCollection of Information: By entering this competition, the customer consents to the collection and retention of their personal information (including name, email address, phone number, and the other submitted details) by Hunting & Fishing New Zealand & Composite Developments (NZ) Ltd.
Data Purpose: The Promoter will use this data primarily to administer the competition, verify winners, and award prizes.
Marketing Opt-In: Unless the customer explicitly opts-out of official rules of the competition during the entry process, they also consent to the Promoter using their personal data for future promotional and marketing purposes, including sending information about Orson & Hunting & Fishing. Customers can opt-out of marketing communications at any time.
Privacy Policy: Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy, which is available at Hunting & Fishing NZ or Composite Developments (NZ) Ltd Privacy Policy. All data collected via the website is subject to the Hunting & Fishing and the Promoter's privacy policies.
